Lyla had her first litter

on January 31, 2009.

She gave us five

beautiful babies and

we never tired of

playing with them,

holding them,

marveling over  them,

and of course, taking their

pictures!

Hattie had some beautiful babies, but she really didn't like taking care of them.  Belle's litter as born shortly after Hattie's and she didn't mind taking over double duties and could often be found nursing all eight babies!

As the kittens got older, Hattie finally adapted to being a mother and she became quite protective of them.
